MAY Drive-By Drop-Off
Hello Fellow Pioneers!
Are you tired of storing the myriad of goodies we Pioneers collect? Good news! We have set up a day to collect and exchange all those things we normally gather at our luncheons to donate or use in our projects.
When: Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 from 9:00a – 10:00a
Where: Reid Park, off of 22nd street, just west of the Zoo. We’ll be set up under the solar panels (for shade, of course!) You can bring a lawn chair and mask and sit a spell or just do a drive by drop off. If you can’t come by, but have some items to donate, please contact us and we will arrange a non-contact pick up with one of our volunteers. Please check out the map on our website!
Who: We will have several SACC Pioneer volunteers ready and eager to take your donations and then deliver them to the project chair or charity partner!
What: We are collecting items usually gathered at our luncheons:
reusable shopping bags
mask making materials
hygiene products for women
lap robes (fleece and/or yard)
medicine bottles without labels

We will have Jim Click raffle tickets which benefit our club 100%!! Priscilla will be there to sell you tickets, this raffle is sponsored by Jim Click to benefit charities in our local community. ALL MONIES WE COLLECT STAY IN THE CLUB, so take a chance, and help your Pioneers continue to help our community.
Do you crochet or knit? The Pioneers are looking for you. We need people to crochet lap robes for our project. We provide yarn. So many of you have so kindly donated to the cause. We take full skeins, partial skeins, etc. We are also making lap robes out of fleece, which are cut and tied.
If you have interest in or have made them for us in the past and want to do it again call Barbara at 520-575-8177 hm or 520-403-4667 cell. The need is there and we need you!
Even though we cannot meet at this time, we are still in need of volunteers. Since we maybe unable to get some of the supplies from China in the near future, we are looking for anyone with a steady had who can paint faces on our bears, A steady hand and a good imagination are all that is needed! We always need volunteers who can sew our bear bodies on their machines. If you are interested in this project, please contact Sherry Daughtry at 520-296-2304
