Holiday Stockings for Mobile Meals

Christmas Stocking Pickup event: This coming Monday, December 7, will be the last chance to bring your filled Christmas Stocking. Mo Ryan will be on hand at Reid Park, 9am to 10am to receive your stockings. See map below for exact location. If you did not get your items purchased or pick up an empty stocking, you could still bring a small bag of goodies to be added to a stocking and Mo can take care of that for you. These go with meals for home bound people through Mobile Meals and the recipients are so thankful for the small gifts.

Holiday FUNDrive

November is our FUNDrive for the club, donating your used soft goods. (These are clothing, shoes, purses, linens, towels, etc.– anything that is fabric including the purses and shoes!) Anna Patton will be taking your donations and saving up until December. Savers takes our goods and pays the club per pound. Last time we raised over $300, so get out those bags of items you cleaned out during Covid quarantine, we are ready! Call Anna at 520-444-1874 for a pickup if you are unable to come to the collection event. She will be taking items throughout November up until December 7, 2020.

Our next blood drive event will be December 20th in honor of Kay F. Reed.

Even though we cannot meet at this time, we are still in need of volunteers. Since we maybe unable to get some of the supplies from China in the near future, we are looking for anyone with a steady had who can paint faces on our bears, A steady hand and a good imagination are all that is needed! We always need volunteers who can sew our bear bodies on their machines. If you are interested in this project, please contact Sherry Daughtry at 520-296-2304

Going forward, we have opted to buy school supplies and donate them directly to the schools instead of filling individual backpacks. Listed are some of the school supplies that we are in need of. If you would like to pick up a few items, you can bring them to our next luncheon.
